Spotify app stuck downloading on phone
Sometimes reinstall the Spotify app might work. And in order to save battery, Spotify will not download songs when the phone screen is off or the Spotify app is running in the background. Keep Spotify in the front and change the sleep time to "Never Sleep" may work for some users. If you still can't fix it, stay tuned for the following solutions. Spotify only offers downloading service to Premium users.
So if you're not yet a Premium user, you'll have to subscribe to a plan among Individual, Duo, Family and Student. If you already are a Premium user, make sure your plan is not expired which can be a reason for download unavailability.
Spotify might have been ambiguous on this matter, but there's a limited number of songs you can download to your device. You can download the maximum of 10, songs in total and about 3, songs in each playlist. So if you exceed the number, Spotify won't let you download more songs.
You'll have to check out your offline library and delete some songs that you might not want to tune in in the future. Hey Onelittleworld , thanks for reaching out to the Community!
Could you try a clean reinstall of the Spotify app? If that doesn't help, could you try a different internet connection? View solution in original post. Hey there. I'm having the same issue and have tried numerous resolution attempts but nothing is working. For whatever reason, the problem went away when I signed in to another WiFi server. Thanks for responding, Billy-J. You're very welcome. If you need help with anything in the future, you can always let me know or start up a new thread in the Community.
Suddenly nothing would download. I've tried changing the wifi, used my 4G, clean reinstalled the app multiple times losing all previous downloads!! I have space on my phone and a good connection. I have the same problem with my "liked songs" playlist. It's been 2 days I think when I noticed that my spotify is stuck to "waiting to download". However, while I was scrolling to my playlist, I noticed that some of the songs are appeared to be grey.
Found out that some of them are no longer available on spotify or unavailable to some countries. I tried removing those songs on my playlist and this solved my problem!
Hope this will work for you too! Some of those have downloaded though. Just disabled. Mine have been stuck for days. I went into setting and turned off hide unplayable songs and deleted them and it worked like a charm!
I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, nothing. Is there any place I can go where people paid by spotify can help me? Because this is getting to be ridiculous and a huge portion of why I paid for spotify in the first place is redundant. That functionality is required for me to be a premium subscriber. I still have not been able to get my local files to play on my phone l, they just show up in grey and wont do anything when clicking on it. Spotify customer service sucks, they just tell you the same thing over and over even though you have told them that you have done everything that the forums say to try with no succes.
Finally found a way to get my Local Files to download back onto my phone! Hope this helps!! This fixed it for me, thanks! This did not fix it for me Any other suggestions?
It is really frustrating, because it used to work fine, but not anymore. Make sure that Windows shows your network as private and not public. Set exceptions for spotify in any firewall or internet security programme. If you are unsure how to do this, temporarily disable them. Check that you haven't already hit the limit of 3, downloads per device or 9, downloads across all devices. If you are using a wifi network outside of your home, there is every chance that the protocols used by spotify for downloading are blocked.
Hi all, I have paired my apple watch to my phone and try to download Spotify play list and the only thing that I see in Downloads is loading. Can you please help? Go to Solution. We're aware of some issues when downloading playlists to the Apple Watch. You can find some useful troubleshooting steps in this Ongoing Issue thread.
View solution in original post. Thanks Carlos, it somehow works now. No clue how. It started to download in several days. What I did? I was playing one song on spotify on my phone for baby sleep and reduced the voice through my apple watch and then suddenly it worked.
So weird. I wanted to respond to this thread because I'm having this exact problem. It's specifically not that downloads are stuck on the first song I had that problem last month, it eventually resolved , which is what that other thread deals with. For days, when I go to Downloads on my Watch, there is no list, it just says Loading.
This is a garbage app full of bugs. Many of us like Spotify better but still maintain Apple Music so we can play more than 50 song playlists and not have any problems our watch. I have the same issue - its just lousy programming. There's some more steps to help thoroughly uninstall the app from your phone so if you haven't, we'd highly suggest it since the steps will make sure there's no old cache files causing this.
